    Hello,

    I have my login form on : mywebsite.com/login (with [user_registration_login] shortcode)
    The activation code by mail works perfectly when I clic on the link : mywebsite.com/login?ur_token={{email_token}}

    But, the reset password link I receive by mail doesn’t work. The link look like : mywebsite.com/login?action=rp&key={{key}}&login={{username}}
    When I clic on this, I have de mywebsite.com/login page with username and password, nothing else. I have nothing to do a reset, this is the login page.

    What can I do ?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello BillMo,

    Can you please provide us with actual url after clicking on the link sent to email? Should be something like: http://localhost/wordpress/?page_id=6&lost-password&show-reset-form=true. Do you have user registration my account page, generated by [user_registration_my_account]? Please configure your email to point to my account page {{home_url}}/my-account?action=rp&key={{key}}&login={{username}} where my-account is slug for my account page generated by user registration. And let us know, we will be back to you soon after reproducing the issue on login form.

    Hi,

    Maybe you should update your documentation here regarding the link:

    https://docs.wpeverest.com/docs/user-registration/email-settings/how-to-redirect-email-confirmation-and-reset-password-link-to-user-registration-pages/

    I also really had trouble with the ‘login’ in the URL, instead of ‘my-account’.

    The password link doesn’t work on my site either from within the user panel. The link (on hover) is just https://mysite.com/members-login/your-profile/edit-password/ – I did not set any endpoints under “General Settings”.
    Can you please post a solution urgently? People are getting frustrated.

    Hello Nadja,

    You mean the Change Password from user’s my account tab? The link should be something like: https://example.com/my-account/edit-password only, note that my-account will always be the page slug created for my account page with [user_registration_my_account] shortcode,and edit-password should be the endpoint, that is by default.

    You may try refreshing the permalinks from dashboard Settings->Permalinks, do nothing and save.

    If you are still not getting it resolved, please share your site url, I will register with dummy user and find out the exact issue and possible solution soon.

    Hi,

    I thought I had the answer when I found this on the forum, but I get an error 404 page not found when I try to use the my-account slug.

    the link I email to users to click on to reset their password is: {{home_url}}/my-account?action=rp&key={{key}}&login={{username}}

    I would really appreciate any help in getting this resolved as others have.

    SOLUTION!

    I received excellent support from WPEverest – they explained that the ‘my-account’ part of

    {{home_url}}/my-account?action=rp&key={{key}}&login={{username}}

    needs to be the page where the [user_registration_my_account] shortcode is on. For me, I had to use a specific page id, so the resulting code for the reset password email became:

    {{home_url}}/?page_id=2221?action=rp&key={{key}}&login={{username}}

    The link now works perfectly. I hope that also helps anyone else understand how the system works.
